Who We Are

At Green Anchors, we are building the only environmentally friendly raft and driftboat anchor available. We start with a 3/16” steel outer case. We then use 100% recycled lead that we source from recycling yards across the country to fill that case. Once filled, we cap the case to essentially trap the lead inside forever. We use no paint, powdercoat or other toxic coating on the anchor to prevent contamination to our waterways. Essentially, we are helping eliminate lead across the country while producing a product that is safe to use in our nations precious rivers, lakes and streams. Bring us your old lead anchor and we will either buy it from you or credit it towards your new anchor.

Aside from contamination, the latest challenge that our rivers face is the transport of invasive species. Our anchors are designed without any crevices for those unwanted hitch hikers to hide in. It is extremely important to Clean, Drain and Dry your river equipment when traveling between watersheds to prevent the spread of invasive species. Our anchors are extremely easy to clean and visually inspect therefore eliminating the chance of transporting those unwanted guests.
